How Caroline and Adam traded comfortable English life for the beauty of Southwest France
In 2003, Caroline and her husband Adam made what some might call a mad decision - they left their comfortable life in Kent and, with their four young children, headed off on a new adventure to France. With little French and no real idea of what they were coming to, they packed up their old Land Rover and settled in the beautiful countryside of Southwest France.
Summers spent holidaying by the Mediterranean had instilled in them a love of outdoor life, and now, over 20 years later, they have no regrets.

Caroline, a qualified teacher for over 25 years, found her passion running PMC Studio France. She loves meeting fascinating people from all over the world who come to learn new skills or simply enjoy a relaxing holiday.
Her warmth and expertise in jewellery making have created countless memorable experiences for guests. Caroline specializes in precious metal clay (PMC) jewellery making, glass fusing, and creative arts instruction. Her patient teaching style has helped hundreds of guests discover their creative talents.
After too many years in the corporate world, Adam jumped at the chance to rebalance his life more in favor of family. His passion for food and wine was cultivated during those early years in France, and he has honed his skills over the last two decades living in the "Garden of France" - an area rich in gastronomic delights, fabulous wines, and amazing Armagnacs.
For Adam, cooking is a journey through all the senses. You won't just spend time sampling local produce - you'll understand how it's made and the traditions behind it. Adam blends a simple Irish approach to cooking with flavors and skills acquired from travels across the world.
From conception to plate, he teaches you how to prepare and serve fantastic meals that seem to magically appear in front of your guests, allowing you to enjoy the party too!
